EKGC JOKER - W/E 27 Aug 17

Congratulations to Al Renny, the latest winner in the EKGC JOKER draw.  Al's winning ticket was for Envelope Number 43, which contained the KING of SPADES.  The ticket was drawn by Agnes Wilson and wins Al a prize of £40.

 

The JACKPOT for next week's draw now stands at £1987.

Senior Ladies Open Greensomes - Results

The prize-winners at today's Senior Ladies Open Greensomes were:

Ladies and Junior Championships & Boronze Trophy

Congratulations to the winners and runners-up of the above events held on Sunday 20 August 17.

Susan Woodhouse won the Ladies Championship by a remarkable 18 strokes. Moray Meechan was runner-up.

Enid King won the Ladies Bronze Trophy, with Katrina Boyce in the runner-up spot.

Allan Woodhouse made it a double for the family in winning the Junior Trophy, with Jack Emerson the runner-up.

In the Handicap Salver, Andrew McAllister came out on top with Grant McDonald in second place.

The Daily Mail Foursomes 2017

Each year, the winners of the Sunbeam Trophy are entered into the Daily Mail Foursomes competition to represent EKGC.

 

The current pairing of Ronnie Neil and Alex McLeod has been quietly moving through the rounds and recently won 2&1 against their latest opponents from Braehead GC.  This was in round SEVEN of the regional competition and the duo has now qualified to take part in the Finals weekend, from 8 October 2017, at the St Pierre Marriott Hotel & Country Club, Chepstow.  In doing so, Ronnie and Alex have reached the last 16.  In total, there were 1542 entrants at the start!

 

We wish them the best of luck over the finals weekend.
